Aravinnd is an Actor, Blogger, and an Engineer
He studied screen acting at City Academy, London and practiced theatre at MISF!T in Bengaluru. He got his first break in films as a supporting cast in the state award-winning film Kahi and Kannada blockbuster Kirik Party. Following which he was cast to play the title role in Bheemasena Nalamaharaja and Hate You Romeo. In his first attempt at filmmaking, he directed and produced a short sports documentary “175 grams” which won at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival.
Films consciously or subconsciously have had an impact on him. In his blog, he shares anecdotes about his journey into the film industry and his experiences so far.
After his undergrad in Mechanical Engineering at MSRIT, Bengaluru, He did his MSc in Automotive Engineering at University of Bath, UK. Aravinnd worked in emissions research at Ford Motor Company and Jaguar LandRover in UK followed by a short stint with Diesel Systems at Robert Bosch, Bengaluru.
Bheemasena Nalamaharaja celebrates the power and magic of cooking. Considering the fact that food has the power to evoke senses and heal wounds, the protagonist, who is a cook, uses it to bring his life back on track through cooking. In the process, he also helps others mend their lives. According to Indian mythology, both Bheema and Nala were known to be great cooks, the film happens to explore another side of their characters.

I was amazed by the game and even more by the people who played it. In my first ever attempt at filmmaking I chose to tell the story of Flywild.” – Aravinnd Iyer
